Fairway and Approach HOC:

We have lowered the HOC (height of cut) on fairways and approaches. Fairways went from 0.650” to 0.550” and approaches went from 0.550” to 0.450”. To put it easily, fairways are just over half an inch and approaches are just under half an inch. Expect to see some minor clipping debris on fairways today on the first cut after the height drop, I expect them to be cleaned up after the next mowing on Friday. The clippings are fully due to the drop in height, and not excess growth. I plan on leaving the mowers set to this height for the rest of November.

We are also spraying rough with iron to maintain the dark green color, and spot aerifying areas that hold water with our deep tine machine. Today is a productive day!
