As we begin the start of our 3rd week of closure and day 13 of water, we are seeing some very positive results from seed so far. Ryegrass is coming along nicely, starting to thicken up, and night cycles of irrigation have begun.

We’ve drastically reduced the amount of irrigation used during the day time, and throughout the day as a whole. Today is the first cut on rough height grass at 1.75” and our first spray on fairway and approaches. we are applying a chemical to promote tillering of the ryegrass and to keep the bermudagrass at bay, as well as some nitrogen for ryegrass green up and growth. Tomorrow we will apply the same spray to rough, and do our first mow on greens.
