This is the 3rd mow on fairways and approaches today. We’ve dropped HOC (height of cut) to 0.650” on fairways and 0.550” on approaches and tees. These heights will remain the same for the next few weeks until temperatures cool down significantly. The criss cross pattern you can see is from mowing the opposite direction of what we mowed last. We alternate mowing patterns to create different traffic and wear patterns from mowers for turf health purposes, as well as helping with grain so the turf doesn’t get used to consistently being laid over the same direction.
