Grow-in day #25

3.5 more days until the golf course opens up for play. We are mowing regularly, all fairways/approaches/tees 3 times a week, rough once a week, and greens every other day. Grass is filling in and looking healthier by the day. The cooler night time temperatures are extremely beneficial to ryegrass growth, although bermudagrass will begin going off color quickly. We are throwing out a granular, quick release fertilizer on fairways today in order to aggressively push growth before opening and allowing cart traffic on the grass. The granular will feed upwards of 0.2lbs of nitrogen per week for the next 2-3 weeks. This is on top of our weekly foliar spray applications of nitrogen.
