Overseed prep

We will be vertical mowing all fine turf surfaces throughout the next couple of weeks. Vertical mowing will help open up the turf canopy to allow the seed to settle into the grass.

By getting the seed settled into the canopy instead of sitting on top, we are protecting the seed and helping trap moisture around it. This will increase germination rate and timing, producing a better product.

Disruption to play will be minimal, although excess clipping debris should be expected. Mowers will follow verticutting units to clean up debris.
